Keep your data safe with scheduled and secure backups

Losing data can be devastating — but with SavveXa, it’s easy to protect your projects through automated backups. In this guide, we’ll show you how to set up scheduled backups so you can focus on building while we keep your data safe behind the scenes.

Step 1: Go to the Backups Section

Log in to your SavveXa dashboard and open your Server Overview. On the left-hand side, you’ll see the Backups tab. Click it to view your current backups and create new schedules.

Step 2: Choose Your Backup Frequency

You can create backups manually or set them to run automatically. SavveXa supports flexible backup intervals — daily, weekly, or monthly.

If you manage critical data or dynamic sites, we recommend daily backups to ensure minimal data loss in case of issues.

Step 3: Select Your Backup Destination

SavveXa integrates seamlessly with secure storage providers like:

  • AWS S3

  • Wasabi Cloud

  • Google Drive

  • OneDrive

  • Any S3-compatible storage

You can even store backups across multiple destinations for added redundancy.

Step 4: Enable Encryption and Retention

Turn on backup encryption to secure your data at rest. Then, choose how long you’d like to keep each backup — for example, keep the last 7 daily backups and 3 weekly ones.

SavveXa automatically deletes older copies according to your retention settings, saving space while keeping your most important versions safe.

Step 5: Monitor and Restore

Once your backup schedule is active, SavveXa handles the rest automatically. You can monitor progress, check logs, and even restore a backup directly from the dashboard in one click.

Backups are verified for integrity after each run, ensuring that your data is complete and ready for recovery whenever needed.

For extra security, enable offsite backup replication — SavveXa will store a copy of your backup in a separate region or provider for maximum protection.
